Consultancy services

I offer my clients a bespoke service, tailored to meet their needs.

Private clients

Define your palate to refine your purchases: By working closely with my clients, I can help them gain a better understanding of the kinds of wines they really enjoy. This, in turn, helps to ensure that their future wine purchases are made on the basis of real enjoyment, rather than being led by price alone.

Personal shopping service: I work with clients to help them build and manage a portfolio of wines, with appropriate choices for both immediate and long-term drinking. I can use my personal contacts within the wine trade to help clients source the wines they want at the best possible price.

Cellar management: I can advise on wine storage options, organise deliveries and provide cellar inventory services. Deciding whether or not to sell or store wines can be tricky, and I can assist in making the correct choice. I also have experience in assessing the financial value of a cellar for insurance purposes.

Event management and tasting services: I offer clients a full portfolio of tasting opportunities, from private sessions to group gatherings, including specialist wine- and food-matching symposiums. I can even get involved in helping you to organise your event, from the initial planning stages onwards.

Trade clients

On-trade services: On-trade clients will benefit from my experience of working with restaurants at many different levels (from neighbourhood bistros to Michelin-starred establishments). I can update tired wine lists or buy new lists from scratch (always bearing in mind that a list needs to be appropriate to a restaurant and its clientele). I offer staff training services focused on improving front-of-house confidence with the list and maximising revenue generated from wine sales. I can even bring my writing skills to bear on the creation of a list that will make your wines more appealing to your customers.

Brand management services: I can help you assess your brand’s impact on the UK market, and suggest (if necessary) alternative marketing strategies and routes to market.
